According to the VNA special correspondent, on the afternoon of August 5th (local time), within the framework of the State visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, President Luong Cuong met with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly expressed his pleasure at meeting President Luong Cuong during the President's state visit to Egypt, affirming that the visit is an important milestone, opening a new beginning in the good bilateral relations between the two countries.
Expressing warm feelings and affection for the country and people of Vietnam, the Egyptian Prime Minister congratulated Vietnam on its outstanding development achievements, expressing his admiration and confidence that Vietnam will realize its goal of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045.
The Egyptian Prime Minister expressed his pleasure to learn that the two countries had agreed to upgrade their relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership, affirming that the relationship with Vietnam is a special historical one, established early on and highly valued and promoted by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Prime Minister personally, and all senior Egyptian leaders.
Expressing sincere gratitude to the leaders and people of Egypt for the warm and respectful welcome extended to the high-level Vietnamese delegation, the President expressed his admiration for Egypt's rapid development, particularly in the construction and development of new urban areas and administrative centers, demonstrating Egypt's foresight and aspiration for breakthroughs and advancement.

President Luong Cuong affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to developing the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Egypt and hopes to bring bilateral cooperation to a new height, making it stronger, more substantial and more effective.
Appreciating the cooperation opportunities with Egypt and Africa, President Luong Cuong suggested that the two sides increase the exchange of delegations at all levels, build new legal frameworks, and facilitate bilateral cooperation in all fields.
Agreeing to promote sustainable and mutually beneficial economic cooperation, the President proposed facilitating investment and business cooperation between enterprises of both sides in areas of strength such as logistics, energy infrastructure construction, industrial production, textiles, renewable energy, etc., as well as in new and potential areas such as green transformation, digital transformation, and halal practices.
In addition, according to the President, both sides need to strengthen coordination, consultation, and mutual support in international and regional forums, and enhance the exchange of experience in the field of peacekeeping and mediation in order to make positive contributions to peace and stability in each region and the world.
The President also requested the Egyptian Prime Minister to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Egypt to do business and live stably, thereby contributing to the development of Egypt and the relations between the two countries.
Impressed with Vietnam's strategic goals, Prime Minister Madbouly said Egypt is also implementing reforms, restructuring the private sector, attracting foreign investment, promoting the industrial revolution, information technology, green transformation, and minimizing the impact of climate change.
Emphasizing the many similarities between the two countries, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly expressed his desire for both sides to strengthen cooperation and effectively exploit the potential in bilateral relations, including actively coordinating efforts to initiate negotiations on a Vietnam-Egypt Free Trade Agreement (FTA) on the basis of equality, balance, and mutual benefit, striving to increase the value of trade turnover as agreed upon by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and President Luong Cuong at their previous meeting.
On the other hand, the Prime Minister proposed the establishment of a Vietnam-Arab Business Council, affirming that it would serve as a bridge connecting Vietnam with markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Arab countries.
The Egyptian Prime Minister was pleased to welcome Vietnamese investors, affirmed to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to do business in Egypt and is ready to welcome Vietnamese students to study at the Islamic University and other schools in Egypt.
The Egyptian Prime Minister highly appreciated Vietnam's role at the United Nations and stated that he would send a delegation to attend the signing ceremony of the UN Convention against Cybercrime, scheduled to be held in Hanoi in October 2025.
On this occasion, President Luong Cuong conveyed the invitation from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to visit Vietnam soon, and the Egyptian Prime Minister happily accepted the invitation.
