Vietnam Border Guard cooperates with the National Immigration Administration of China.

On the afternoon of December 10th, in Hanoi, Senior General Hoang Xuan Chien, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission , and Vice Minister of National Defense, received Mr. Liu Haidao, Deputy Director of the National Immigration Administration of China.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien emphasized that border defense cooperation is an important area in the defense cooperation between the two countries; acknowledged the results of the talks between the Vietnam Border Guard and the National Immigration Administration of China; and expressed pleasure at the positive results achieved in the cooperation between the two agencies in recent times, notably the maintenance of delegation exchanges, the close implementation of the three-tiered legal mechanism in land border management, and the regular organization of talks, exchange programs, and information sharing.

General Hoang Xuan Chien proposed that in the coming time, the Vietnam Border Guard and the State Administration of Immigration of China should expedite the signing of agreements and documents on strengthening cooperation in immigration control; continue to maintain exchanges and promote substantive cooperation in the fields of delegation exchanges, political work exchanges, and young officer exchanges; effectively implement joint patrol and bilateral patrol mechanisms; strengthen the exchange of information and situations related to the fight against cross-border crime; study reforms to administrative procedures and control at border gates, creating favorable conditions for the circulation of goods, people, and vehicles, and together maintain a peaceful , cooperative, friendly, and developing Vietnam-China border.

Mr. Liu Haidao emphasized that thanks to the attention and nurturing of the leaders of the two countries, the China-Vietnam border today is a peaceful and well-developed border; he expressed pleasure at the positive results of defense cooperation between the border guards of the two countries in recent times, notably in law enforcement, maintaining order and security at the border, and managing immigration and emigration…

Regarding the results of the talks with the Vietnam Border Guard, noting the common understandings reached by both sides in the areas of border management, crime prevention, ensuring border security and order, and training, Mr. Luu Hai Dao expressed his hope that in the future, both sides will continue to cooperate in developing a peaceful and stable border region, bringing happiness to the people of both countries.
