According to The Verge , EA's Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been highly rated and satisfied by the vast majority of players when experiencing it on PlayStation 5. But currently the latest Star Wars game is having major problems on PC.
Accordingly, just one day after its launch, up to 63% of the game's reviews on Steam were negative, with many complaining that even high-end PC systems could not run the game stably.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor 'in trouble' on PC platform
And now, publisher EA is starting to acknowledge the ongoing problem: "We're aware that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor isn't performing to our standards for PC players," a tweet from the official EA Star Wars account reads.
The company promises to address the issue quickly and is working on fixes. But it also seems to suggest that users shouldn't get their hopes up, warning that a complete fix for PC performance is unlikely.
The case of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is similar to what happened to the PC version of The Last of Us Part I. The game was delayed multiple times to improve quality and yet launched with so many serious problems that it received a series of "mostly negative" reviews on Steam.
Additionally, Rock Paper Shotgun also reports that the game is 'a mess' on Steam Deck. Many Deck players are disappointed because the original Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was also released on Valve's console and ran quite well. There is no word yet on whether EA will fix the Steam Deck version.
