According to the New York Times on June 6, actor Cuba Gooding Jr. is expected to attend the first hearing of his rape case in New York City, USA on June 7.
However, the trial did not take place as scheduled and the reason was announced that "the parties have resolved the matter" through an agreement.

In the lawsuit, "Jane Doe" said she met Cuba Gooding Jr. at a Manhattan bar in 2013. She was invited by the actor to have drinks with him at a nearby hotel.
Cuba Gooding Jr. then asked her to come up to his hotel room, saying he needed to change his clothes. The actor raped her in the hotel room. She wants the defendant to pay damages.
Cuba Gooding Jr.'s attorney said on behalf of his client that the allegations were untrue. "The allegations are false. A story that happened 7 years ago, no complaint was ever filed. We believe that all allegations and lawsuits will be dismissed," the actor's attorney said.
