Increase the value of local products

Tan Minh commune has an area of 223.76 ^km2 , a population of 22,292 people, with 15 villages. The local economy is mainly agricultural production, accounting for about 60% of the population; business, trade, services... account for about 40%. As a locality with an economy closely linked between agriculture and industry, Tan Minh possesses potential after the merger.

In particular, the commune effectively implements plans for agricultural and forestry production development associated with the construction of new rural areas and advanced new rural areas. In that process, the Tan Minh commune government plays a solid bridge role for farmers to continue agricultural production in an organic and safe direction, associated with promoting the transfer of scientific and technical advances, building value chain models, developing OCOP products to create quality products, stabilizing agricultural output; encouraging farmers to produce associated with intensive investment according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards to stabilize and increase the value of local products. Currently, farmers here mainly grow trees such as dragon fruit, cashew, mango, jackfruit, rubber... with 2 products recognized as OCOP products (Hoa Loc Ngoc Tan Phuc sand mango and Suoi Gieng Taiwanese mango). Regarding livestock farming, it is in a stable state, with a total herd of 3,707 cows; 1,725 pigs; Poultry flock of about 275,500; there are 3 chicken farms and 1 pig farm.

Mr. Ha Le Thanh Chung - Secretary of Tan Minh Commune Party Committee, said: "In the immediate future, the locality will promote the transformation of crop and livestock structure towards concentrated specialization, applying science and technology, building effective production models, providing appropriate production guidance, and preventing and controlling diseases on crops and livestock. In particular, Tan Minh Commune will focus on clearing the land of Tan Duc Industrial Park, Tan Minh - Son My route... to develop industry and agriculture".

The formation of Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway also creates momentum for Tan Minh's development in the future.

Sustainable NTM

In industry and trade, the locality is also orienting development towards innovating advanced technology to serve production and processing, promoting industrial promotion; encouraging businesses and production facilities to apply advanced science and technology in production stages to increase productivity, quality and competitiveness of products.

Currently, Tan Minh has a project to invest in the construction and business of infrastructure of Tan Duc Industrial Park, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 230/QD-TTg dated February 23, 2021; and was granted Decision No. 1284/QD-UBND on the establishment of Tan Duc Industrial Park by the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province (old) on May 24, 2021. This is also a lever to help Tan Minh have a basis for a breakthrough.

Convenient transport infrastructure will promote economic development.

Mr. Tran Cong Truong - Chairman of Tan Minh Commune People's Committee said: The local government will urge investors to speed up the construction of infrastructure inside Tan Duc Industrial Park, creating leverage for industrial development.

Economic development will contribute to building a new, stable and long-term rural area.

Along with economic development, Tan Minh is also determined to build "New Rural Area, Advanced New Rural Area" in depth, associated with improving spiritual life and community awareness. The locality has been reviewing all types of planning to adjust and integrate appropriately with the new administrative boundaries, ensuring synchronization, feasibility, and closeness to actual development needs, contributing to improving the quality of people's lives and environmental criteria in building New Rural Area.

Currently, to stabilize long-term economic development, Tan Minh Commune People's Committee has also implemented the Decision approving the adjustment of land use planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and the Land Use Plan for 2025. Focus on resolving citizens' applications for land use purpose conversion to ensure compliance with the law and within the prescribed time, thereby giving people peace of mind in production and economic development.
