The commune is gradually completing the criteria. However, this cannot be completed overnight but requires support from superiors, the participation of the entire political system, departments, branches, organizations, especially the consensus of the people... then the construction of Tan Thanh advanced NTM commune will achieve high results".

Identifying the remaining criteria in building advanced new rural areas as a big challenge, Tan Thanh quickly completed the Steering Committee, based on the actual conditions of the locality to develop a plan and deploy it to each hamlet and village. In particular, it determined to promote the role and responsibility of the heads of Party committees and authorities, the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members in building advanced new rural areas.
With the motto "The State and the people work together", in recent times, many people in Tan Thanh commune have actively participated with the government in contributing money and labor to construct, repair, and expand traffic routes, irrigation dykes, build environmental landscapes, and flower roads to serve the travel and living needs of the people... Cultural institutions have also been invested in and built to meet the entertainment needs of the people, contributing to the socio -economic development of the locality.
In addition, Tan Thanh commune focuses on the Environmental criteria. After a period of implementation, the commune has initially achieved many positive results. Currently, 1,129/1,315 households in the commune have their household waste collected. The commune also arranges 26 pits and containers for used pesticide packaging... The commune's socio-political organizations regularly propagate environmental protection and source waste classification for people in hamlets and villages. At the same time, they mobilize people to maintain environmental hygiene, create a bright - green - clean - beautiful environmental landscape, and create an increasingly prosperous rural appearance.
In order for the National Target Program on New Rural Development and Advanced New Rural Development to be truly effective, in recent years, Tan Thanh commune has paid special attention to the field of economic development, considering this one of the important factors promoting the process of building New Rural Development to improve people's lives, eliminate difficulties and reduce poverty sustainably. From there, the commune has focused on promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to change the structure of crops and livestock with high economic value and change old farming practices; apply scientific and technical advances... to improve production efficiency.
In particular, the commune always pays attention to and creates favorable conditions for businesses, households and individuals to develop production and business. The commune has a soursop fruit tea product of Travipha Company Limited certified by the People's Committee of Tien Giang province as a 4-star OCOP product posted on e-commerce platforms, Zalo, Facebook...
Many households in Tan Thanh commune have proactively changed their thinking, become more active in economic development, and strive to escape poverty. Since then, more and more effective economic models have appeared in the commune, increasing people's income. In 2024, the average income per capita of the commune will reach 67.96 million VND/person/year.
The road to building advanced new rural areas still has many difficulties, but with the solidarity, determination, joint efforts and hearts of the Party Committee, government and people, we believe that Tan Thanh commune will reach the advanced new rural area finish line according to the set roadmap and goals.
