Strengthening COVID-19 examination, detection and treatment

Faced with the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in some countries such as Brazil, UK, Thailand..., in order to proactively respond to the COVID-19 epidemic, ensuring good examination, detection, admission and treatment of COVID-19 patients, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health) has just sent an official dispatch to hospitals under the Ministry; Departments of Health of provinces and centrally run cities and health care of ministries and branches on strengthening the work of examination, detection and treatment of COVID-19 cases.

Accordingly, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requests directors of hospitals and institutes with beds under the Ministry of Health ; directors of health departments of provinces and centrally run cities, heads of health departments of ministries and branches to urgently review and update the plan for admission and treatment of COVID-19 patients of the province and medical examination and treatment facilities according to the forecast of the epidemic situation, not to let the situation of passive and unexpected response. At the same time, units must prepare facilities, isolation areas, medical equipment, medical supplies to organize admission, isolation, diagnosis, treatment and carry out infection control work; strengthen measures to prevent infection, especially respiratory infections to minimize the spread of the epidemic in medical examination and treatment facilities; have solutions to ensure safety for patients in high-risk groups (such as pregnant women, people with underlying diseases, serious illnesses, the elderly, etc.), intensive care areas, cardiovascular, artificial kidney, surgery, etc.; Take case reporting seriously.

Since the beginning of the year, the country has recorded 148 cases of COVID-19 in 27 provinces and cities; there have been no deaths. In Phu Yen , according to information from the provincial Center for Disease Control, no cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the province during the above period.

According to Dr. Chau Trong Phat, Director of the Center for Disease Control of Phu Yen province: To proactively prevent and control COVID-19, people should follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Health : Wear masks in public places, on public transport, at medical facilities; wash hands regularly with clean water, soap or antiseptic solution; increase physical activity, physical training, proper nutrition; limit gathering in crowded places, if not necessary. When having symptoms of fever, cough, difficulty breathing, go immediately to the nearest medical facility for timely examination, monitoring and treatment.
