Instead of just stopping at making reports and essays in the traditional form, students of Banking Academy - Phu Yen Branch (BAP) are increasingly proactive in choosing topics, approaching modern research methods and applying digital technology in the implementation process. Students' scientific research topics are increasingly diverse and highly topical, closely linked to the practical operations of the banking and finance industry such as: digital transformation in banking services, application of artificial intelligence in credit analysis, green finance and sustainable banking, blockchain in payment systems, etc.

At the presentation and evaluation of the topics of the "Student Scientific Research" contest for the 2024-2025 school year, many topics were highly appreciated not only for the quality of the content but also for the feasibility of practical application. Typically, the topic of Research on factors affecting the acceptance of using cloud accounting software in enterprises in Phu Yen , the students presented objective factors and urgent needs when applying the development of information technology in business operations. This software helps accountants and managers work professionally, effectively and reduces the pressure of investing in facilities and human resources. With a confident, fluent presentation and the liveliness of applying digital technology to the presentation, the group of students convinced the topic evaluation council and won first prize.

BAP students have been actively carrying out topics related to practical issues of Phu Yen as well as the Central Highlands region. Although the research scale is small and resources are limited, many student topics have demonstrated creativity, applicability and have been highly appreciated at student scientific conferences at the branch and academy levels.

Also at this program, the research topic on factors affecting the acceptance of using buy now pay later service by students at universities in the South Central region also won second prize. Nguyen Thi Thao Hieu, a member of the research team, shared: Buy now pay later is a modern form of payment, allowing users to buy now - pay later without a credit card and without interest. Customers do not need to pay the entire amount at once, just pay a small amount initially and the rest is divided into installments. Compared to credit cards, this form is transparent, easy to register and students are a potential group. Buy now pay later helps sellers increase sales, consumers easily access and suppliers profit from discount fees.

Improve the quality of training

According to MSc. Nguyen Thi Hien, Head of the Department of Training and Student Management (BAP), during the research and implementation of the topic, students are closely monitored by lecturers. Lecturers not only play the role of guiding research methods, but also inspire and accompany students throughout the process of implementing the topic. In addition, the institute has implemented many activities to promote the spirit of research such as: organizing training courses on scientific research skills, student scientific seminars, academic competitions, etc.

A special feature of scientific research at BAP is the close connection with local practice. Students are encouraged to survey and interview businesses, commercial banks, etc. to have a more realistic view of research issues. This has helped many topics become highly practical, easy to apply to work and start a business after graduation. Right from the first year, students of the school have visited and learned about practical work at businesses.

The leadership of the branch together with the faculties and departments have made many efforts in creating favorable conditions and encouraging students to actively participate in research, thereby gradually forming a healthy and dynamic academic environment. This is an opportunity for students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving ability, teamwork skills as well as improve their professional qualifications to confidently enter the competitive labor market in the future.
