When detecting sick or dead poultry, absolutely do not slaughter, transport, buy, sell, or use them; immediately notify local authorities and veterinary units in the area; instruct people to implement personal hygiene measures such as washing hands with soap, wearing masks, avoiding contact with sick or dead poultry; use Chloramine B and strong disinfectants to kill bacteria, and regularly disinfect barns in each household and areas with avian influenza. When you have flu symptoms such as fever, cough, chest pain, difficulty breathing related to poultry, you must immediately go to a medical facility for timely consultation, examination and treatment.
According to information from the infectious disease surveillance system in Vietnam, in 2025, a number of countries in the world recorded cases of A/H5N1 influenza in humans. In Cambodia, by the end of March, 3 cases of A/H5N1 avian influenza were recorded and all 3 died. In the country, according to a report from the Department of Animal Health and Livestock ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ), from the beginning of 2025 to now, the country has recorded 6 outbreaks of A/H5N1 avian influenza in 4 provinces, including: Tuyen Quang, Nghe An, Tien Giang and Long An.
