Accordingly, in an effort to protect the environment and develop sustainably, the province is actively implementing the solid waste management plan for the period 2025 - 2030 with many specific goals and synchronous solutions, aiming to build a clean living environment for urban and rural residents.

In particular, regarding technical infrastructure, during this period, Long An province aims to complete the upgrading and technology conversion of Thanh Hoa Waste Treatment Plant (operated by Tam Sinh Nghia Investment - Development Joint Stock Company) from conventional incineration technology to incineration for power generation.

At the same time, the processing capacity was increased from 300 tons/day to 500 tons/day. In addition, the province also built a new solid waste treatment plant using incineration technology with a capacity of 300 tons/day, invested by Tri Viet Energy Company Limited in Tan Dong commune, Thanh Hoa district.

In addition, the province will build three more solid waste treatment plants using modern combustion technology in the following localities: Duc Hue district (energy recovery combustion technology), Can Giuoc district (capacity of 250 tons/day) and Duc Hoa district (capacity of 450 tons/day).

At the same time, the province also closed the open-air landfill in Dong Thanh town, Duc Hue district; and is moving towards completing the treatment of the above-mentioned environmental pollution site./.
