Sustainable growth is the key to success of BIDV Pho Nui brand

BIDV-Pho Nui Branch was established on May 23, 2015, on the basis of receiving the Mekong Delta Housing Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank - Gia Lai Branch (MHB Gia Lai). Through the 10-year journey of construction and development, generations of leaders, officers, employees, and workers of the entire Branch have devoted much enthusiasm, effort, and intelligence to create the reputation and brand value of Pho Nui today.

In the initial stage of establishment, BIDV-Pho Nui Branch was smaller in scale compared to other units in the same system, with capital mobilization of 456.6 billion VND and outstanding credit balance of 1,346 billion VND. After 5 years of operation, Pho Nui Branch has gradually expanded its brand coverage in areas from urban to rural areas. In 2020, the Branch's mobilized capital reached 1,942 billion VND, outstanding credit balance reached 4,272 billion VND. Thereby, marking a positive growth in the scale of operations of a new branch, a new brand in the BIDV system in Gia Lai.

At the end of 2024, BIDV - Pho Nui Branch achieved an important milestone on the occasion of its 10th anniversary with the following targets: capital mobilization reached 3,694 billion VND, outstanding credit reached 6,502 billion VND. Compared to the time of establishment, capital mobilization increased to 3,237 billion VND, outstanding credit increased to 5,156 billion VND. Notably, the average growth rate of capital mobilization and outstanding credit of the Branch in the period 2020-2024 was always high compared to the average growth rate of the cluster and BIDV system.

Not only purely growing in numbers, BIDV - Pho Nui Branch especially focuses on the orientation of implementing the growth target to be substantial, associated with the factors of efficiency - sustainability - quality. This is the key to help the Branch achieve the growth target associated with the effectiveness of sustainable credit investment restructuring; focus on caring for and developing retail customers, SMEs, implementing key campaigns to increase the proportion of net service revenue and digital banking revenue in total income.

The highlight of BIDV-Pho Nui Branch's 10-year journey is its rapid, sustainable, and quality growth in all aspects of its operations. Along with the growth in business scale, pre-tax profit and net service revenue indicators have also grown significantly in each 5-year and 10-year period. In particular, the bad debt ratio has always been strictly controlled. In 2015, the bad debt ratio was below 1% of total outstanding debt. In 2020, the bad debt ratio accounted for only 1.12% of total outstanding debt. In 2024, the bad debt ratio will be only 0.63% of total outstanding debt.

From a second-class branch in 2015, BIDV-Pho Nui Branch has now risen to the top, becoming a special-class branch in 2020. From 2021 to 2024, BIDV Pho Nui will always maintain the standards and quality of a first-class branch.

Not only growing strongly in terms of internal strength, capacity, and scale of operation, the Branch also received attention from the Head Office in investing in building a spacious and modern infrastructure, commensurate with the role and position of the unit. At the end of 2024, BIDV - Pho Nui Branch inaugurated and put into operation a new headquarters with an expanded area of 1,100 m2.

The Branch's network includes 5 transaction offices: Hung Vuong Transaction Office in Pleiku City, Chu Prong Transaction Office in Chu Prong District, Cheo Reo Transaction Office in Chu Se District, Ayun Pa Transaction Office in Ayun Pa Town, Chu Pah Transaction Office in Chu Pah District.

At each stage of development, BIDV - Pho Nui Branch has built specific goals, roadmaps, and strategic directions. If in the period of 2015-2020, the Branch focused on building a stable foundation, then in the period of 2020-2025, the Branch will catch up with the synchronous growth of business operations, affirming its name and brand position.

Entering the 2025-2030 period, the Branch will focus on transforming the growth model in depth, emphasizing stability and sustainability in business areas. Based on the results of the 2020-2025 period, BIDV-Pho Nui Branch sets the target of striving for average growth in the 2025-2030 period as follows: pre-tax profit grows by an average of 12%, capital mobilization grows by an average of 13%, outstanding credit grows by an average of 12%, net service revenue grows by an average of 17%.

2025 is a particularly important milestone for BIDV - Pho Nui Branch. Accordingly, closely following the BIDV system's motto of action "Responsibility - Streamlining - Efficiency - Accelerating transformation", the Branch continues to effectively implement the targets and business plans for the year. The Branch strives to achieve pre-tax profit of VND 224 billion by the end of the year, capital mobilization of VND 4,200 billion, outstanding credit of VND 7,240 billion, and net service revenue of VND 22 billion.

In order to increase the quality and efficiency of business operations, in the management and operation, BIDV - Pho Nui Branch reviews the working process, coordinates between units to streamline, reduce intermediate steps, shorten work processing time, improve the working efficiency of each individual and each business department. At the same time, pay attention to improving the quality of human resources to meet the requirements of comprehensive transformation, associated with strengthening and fostering corporate culture.

In credit activities, the Branch focuses on credit growth closely following the credit limit assigned by the Head Office, associated with improving the quality and increasing the efficiency of credit activities. In the current market context, BIDV - Pho Nui Branch closely follows the direction of developing retail and SME credit, increasing the proportion of medium and long-term outstanding loans to total outstanding loans; at the same time, drastically implementing solutions to recover bad debts, potentially risky debts, and off-balance sheet debts.
