International visitors flock to Phu Quoc

Mr. Bui Quoc Thai - Director of Kien Giang Province Department of Tourism - said that in 2024, the locality welcomed more than 9.8 million visitors, including nearly 1 million international visitors, with total tourism revenue reaching over VND 25,000 billion (equivalent to 1 billion USD). In the first 5 months of this year alone, the province welcomed more than 5.6 million visitors (an increase of nearly 27% over the same period last year), of which international visitors reached more than 780,000, an increase of more than 77% over the same period.

Phu Quoc plays a leading role, welcoming over 3.5 million visitors, including 770,000 international visitors (an increase of nearly 80%).

In the coming time, Mr. Bui Quoc Thai said that the local tourism industry will continue to accompany associations and businesses to promote regional connectivity, improve the quality of tourism products and services in Kien Giang and Phu Quoc. Thereby, affirming the position of Phu Quoc not only as a sea and island paradise of Vietnam, but also reaching the regional and world level.

Along with solutions to improve the quality of human resources, focusing on management, professional skills, foreign languages ​​and digital transformation skills.
