(LĐ online) - During the visit and work in the United States with the Vietnam Office Informatics and Graphic Design Team participating in the World Finals from July 28 to August 2, Ms. Pham Thi Hong Hai - Director of Lam Dong Departmentof Education and Training was honored to represent the department to receive the Medal "Pioneer in applying MOS in schools" awarded by the world's leading IT Testing Corporation Certiport (USA). This is a noble award recognizing the efforts and positive results that the entire Lam Dong Education sector has achieved in pioneering the introduction of the international MOS IT program into teaching in high school.

According to information from the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training, since 2021, all high schools in the province have simultaneously implemented MOS teaching, and the department has also applied regulations on converting vocational points for students with international MOS certificates. Since the beginning of 2022, the whole province has had 21 schools organizing MOS certification exams for students with a passing rate of over 70%.
According to statistics, the achievements of Lam Dong students participating in the World Office Informatics Championship in Vietnam in recent years have also been impressive. In 2022, out of 83 contestants, 47 won prizes in the Central Highlands region (3 first prizes; 5 second prizes, 9 third prizes and 30 consolation prizes). In 2023, 53/76 contestants won prizes in the Central Highlands region (5 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 12 third prizes and 27 consolation prizes); in particular, 3 students won national prizes. These are proud achievements for a locality with many schools in remote areas, ethnic minority areas with many difficulties in terms of facilities, and limited conditions for learning technology like Lam Dong.

During this working trip, the Vietnamese delegation and IIG Vietnam Education Organization had a working session with the leaders and leading education experts of Certiport. Certiport Group shared with Vietnam about the comprehensive solution set "Future proof economies" focusing on providing students with the necessary skill sets for different professions, not only limited to the information technology sector, but also expanding to other sectors such as healthcare, tourism, travel, startups... The solution set includes programs, learning materials, assessment tools and international certificates. In particular, it can be designed to suit the needs and teaching and learning conditions of each region and locality.
At the meeting, Ms. Pham Thi Hong Hai also shared about the application of international IT certificates at schools in Lam Dong province, and shared the difficulties encountered so that both sides could have a more complete view, as a premise for future meetings, exchanges, and experience sharing.
At the 2023 Office Software World Championship (MOSWC) and Graphic Design World Championship (ACPWC) taking place in Orlando, Florida (USA), Vietnam participated with 9 members, all of whom are the country's bright IT talents.
