Multinational corporation NVIDIA commits to establish legal entity in Vietnam

NDO - NVIDIA will further expand its existing partnership with Vietnam, contributing to Vietnam's AI in the future, making Vietnam its second home.

In a recent seminar on the development trends of the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence and opportunities for Vietnam held at the National Innovation Center (NIC), Mr. Jensen Huang, Chairman and General Director of NVIDIA Corporation (USA) highly appreciated the great potential and opportunities of Vietnam in the semiconductor and AI industry, especially Vietnam's human resources in this field.

“Vietnam has prepared well and this is a great opportunity, a great time for the two sides to establish a strategic relationship in the fields of AI and chips - two vital industries for the prosperous development of countries.

NVIDIA will further expand its existing partnership with Vietnam, which will contribute to Vietnam's AI in the future. We are committed to making Vietnam our second home and establishing a legal entity in Vietnam," said Mr. Jensen Huang.

Vietnam has a goodeducation and infrastructure, the head of NVIDIA Corporation said that the problem is to improve skills and build a workforce of 1 million AI experts. This will be the strongest team in the world and NVIDIA Corporation is ready to cooperate with Vietnam to improve AI skills and infrastructure.

NVIDIA is a multinational technology company that designs graphics processing units (GPUs), application programming interfaces (APIs) for data science and high-performance computing, and systems on chips (SoCs) for the mobile computing and automotive markets.

There are many competitors, but NVIDIA is considered a very special company because other companies in the AI ​​field use NVIDIA products.

As of now, NVIDIA has more than 27,000 employees worldwide, with revenue reaching nearly $27 billion. With the global AI fever, NVIDIA is more than tripling its AI chip production plan for 2024, and the corporation's revenue is expected to increase significantly in the near future.

After listening to opinions from relevant units discussed specifically at the seminar, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung assessed that Vietnam has a number of advantages to develop the semiconductor and AI industries.

The Minister pledged to create favorable conditions for NVIDIA to operate in Vietnam and suggested that NVIDIA promote research and implementation of investment projects on semiconductors and AI in Vietnam; cooperate, invest, and build Research and Development (R&D) centers, laboratories for design, and development of NVIDIA semiconductor microchip products at the National Innovation Center and high-tech zones.

The Minister also proposed that NVIDIA Corporation cooperate, advise and support the National Innovation Center and training institutions in Vietnam in terms of resources and experts to build training and practice programs in the fields of semiconductors and AI; create conditions for Vietnamese engineers and students to participate in internships and work at NVIDIA; accompany Vietnam in building a semiconductor business incubator, as well as advise Vietnam in forming businesses to support the provision of products and services.

Minister Nguyen Chi Dung also expressed his hope that NVIDIA would coordinate with the National Innovation Center to implement the Project on Human Resources Development for Vietnam's Semiconductor Industry by 2030 and cooperate with major training institutions in Vietnam to implement human resource training programs for the semiconductor industry.

Participating in the discussion, typical Vietnamese technology enterprises, experts from the Vietnam Innovation Network under the National Innovation Center, and universities had the opportunity to share their capabilities and potential in the fields of semiconductor industry, high technology, and AI.
