Manulife Financial Corporation, through its subsidiary The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company, has announced that it has signed an agreement to transfer MVI Life to Asahi Mutual Life Insurance Company.
MVI Life, formerly known as Aviva Vietnam, was acquired by Manulife Group in 2021. Mr. Steve Finch, President and CEO of Manulife Asia, shared that this transfer agreement is in line with the group's strategic direction and reaffirms Manulife's long-term commitment to the Vietnamese market.
“As soon as we receive the necessary approvals and complete the transaction, we will focus all our resources on serving customers in Vietnam through Manulife Vietnam, one of the key markets in Manulife Asia's business operations since 1999.
We will continue to deliver outstanding service experiences and innovative solutions to meet our customers' health protection and financial planning needs.
We would also like to acknowledge and sincerely thank the leadership team and all employees of MVI Life for their great contributions to business operations and customer service over the past time," said Mr. Finch.
