Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Mac Quang Thinh - the musician's son - said that musician Dinh Tram Ca passed away on the morning of December 1 in his hometown Dien Ban (formerly Quang Nam ), at the age of 82, after a long time fighting illness.
According to his family, in 2021 he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, which led to his health declining, requiring him to use a wheelchair and undergo physical therapy. In the last years of his life, the musician suffered from many underlying diseases such as diabetes and Parkinson's, and also suffered two strokes. He was mostly bedridden, having difficulty in daily activities and communication.
During his lifetime, musician Dinh Tram Ca always told his relatives that when he passed away, his family should only hold a small, cozy funeral, keeping the atmosphere peaceful in the house. What he wished for most was for his children and grandchildren to be in harmony and love each other.
The family said the funeral will take place at 10:30 p.m. today, and the funeral will be held on the morning of December 4 at the family cemetery in Dien Ban Dong ward ( Da Nang ).

Musician Dinh Tram Ca's real name is Mac Phu, born in 1943 in Vinh Dien (Dien Ban, Quang Nam). After finishing high school, he went to the South to study at university, graduated, and taught literature there until 1975.
The male musician began writing poetry in the early 1960s, then studied music with musician Le Trong Nguyen. Over 50 years of composing, he left behind about 100 songs. Among them, Song Que - a song with the lyrical melody of Southern folk music - is one of the most famous.
Besides, he also has many favorite songs such as Lullaby of Old Love, Talented Boy and Beautiful Girl , and works imbued with the spirit of his homeland such as Phuong Nam's drifting song of the water hyacinth bush...
His music mainly explores human fate and love for the Central region.
In 2004, after many years living in Ho Chi Minh City and the West, he returned to his hometown and opened Thach Truc Vien coffee shop, which became a familiar meeting place for artists.
