BSCKI Trinh Thi Lan Chi - Head of Reproductive Health Department ( Bac Lieu Center for Disease Control) disseminated training content.
In order to improve the professional capacity of medical staff in the prevention and control of mother-to-child transmission diseases in the province, from May 30 to June 2, 2023, Bac Lieu Center for Disease Control organized 2 training courses to update the Ministry of Health's guidelines on intervention techniques to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV, hepatitis B, and syphilis for medical staff working in the fields of obstetrics, pediatrics, and neonatology at medical facilities at all levels in Bac Lieu province.
By participating in the training course, trainees will be provided with basic knowledge about HIV, hepatitis B, and syphilis; master the procedures and techniques for intervention to prevent mother-to-child transmission; practice good counseling and screening for three diseases transmitted from mother to child...; and understand the regional and national framework for action plans to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV, hepatitis B, and syphilis.
These contents will contribute to minimizing the rate of mother-to-child transmission of diseases, especially pregnant women, mothers, newborns and children have access to services and interventions to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of HIV, hepatitis B and syphilis in the most continuous and quality manner.
