During the regular meeting held at the Hamlet Cultural House once a quarter, 38 members of the “Happy Healthy Family” Club will hear reports on the club’s activities in the past time; be integrated with propaganda to implement the State’s policies, laws and policies; policies related to women; be supported with knowledge on food hygiene and safety, health care, disease prevention, domestic violence prevention, etc.
In addition to thematic activities, the "Happy Healthy Family" Club also organizes sports and cultural exchange activities... Due to the diversity in activities, the Club is not only a place to "learn to be a wife and mother" but also a spiritual playground to spread knowledge, ethical values, law and life skills to members.
Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc - a member of the club confided: “In the past, I always thought that family matters were private matters, not convenient to talk about. But when I heard the sisters in the club share, I realized that the club is a common home, a place to share love and the important thing is to learn how to solve problems instead of accepting or suppressing. The lessons of “reducing the heat when the rice is boiling” or communication skills to improve the relationship between husband and wife, although not new, not everyone can apply them skillfully. Women, as the “fire keepers” in the family, need to practice more to handle conflicts more skillfully. Therefore, activities like this are very necessary and useful for us sisters. I have learned how to listen and adjust myself. Since then, the atmosphere in the house has become more pleasant.”
Family is the beginning of love. When each member is physically and mentally healthy, the home will be complete, thereby contributing to reducing family conflicts, domestic violence, improving the quality of life, spreading a positive and sustainable lifestyle in society. “The club was born with the desire to create a healthy living space, where families share life experiences, take care of their health, spread love and cultivate lasting happiness. In addition, the club is also a safe space for women to speak up and be understood. Many women were initially shy and hesitant when coming to the club, but after a few sessions, they gradually became more open, boldly telling stories that they had never told anyone. From there, many conflicts in the family were resolved,” said Ms. Phan Thi Mui - Head of the “Healthy and Happy Family” club.
