Train SE2 derailed at Lang Co station

On the afternoon of August 31, the railway industry mobilized forces and equipment to fix the SE2 passenger train derailment incident at Lang Co station (Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province).

At 3:17 p.m. the same day, passenger train SE2 running on the Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi route, while slowing down to Lang Co station, car number 3 derailed from the rails at km 755+417 on the North - South railway line.

Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties. Traffic on the North-South railway line was temporarily disrupted.

After the incident, authorities were present at the scene, coordinated handling and stabilizing passengers.

This is the third consecutive train derailment in Thua Thien Hue in a short period of time and the second at the same location at Lang Co station.

Previously, at around 2:23 p.m. on July 28, train SE11, consisting of a locomotive pulling 12 carriages, moved from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City.

After avoiding train SE4 in Lang Co station area, train SE11 slowed down to go up Hai Van pass, derailed 2 cars 11725, 31591 located in positions 10, 11 in the train at km 755+417 on the North - South railway line.

On August 7, train SE2 on the Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi route, when reaching the Cau Hai section of Truoi station, at km 720+950 (in Loc Dien commune, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province), car A31490 derailed.
