Independence Day Celebration: "Brilliant Colors of Than Uyên"

NDO – On the evening of September 1st, in Than Uyên district, the People's Committee of Lai Châu province organized an art program to celebrate Independence Day 2024 with the theme "Brilliant Colors of Than Uyên".

This activity is part of a series of events for the Independence Day celebration taking place in Than Uyên district from January 30 to September 2.

At the art night, locals and tourists were immersed in the joyful atmosphere of the historic autumn days, visiting, admiring, and experiencing cultural spaces, folk games, and enjoying art programs featuring performances by three ethnic groups: H'Mong, Dao, and Khmu.

In addition, locals and tourists can participate in the Xoe dance festival, with a circle dance symbolizing unity involving over 3,000 people.

Also at the program, the Vietnam Record Organization announced and awarded the record for the locality that has organized the Independence Day celebration in conjunction with the Ethnic Groups' Cultural and Sports Festival for the most consecutive years in the Northwest region to Than Uyên district.

Than Uyên district was awarded the record for the most frequent and continuous organization of Independence Day celebrations combined with the Ethnic Groups' Cultural and Sports Festival over the longest period in the Northwest region.

Earlier, from the afternoon of August 30th to the afternoon of September 1st, a series of cultural, artistic, sports, and recreational activities took place in Than Uyên district to celebrate Independence Day, with the participation of thousands of local people and tourists from all over the country.
