The match between Turkmenistan and Thailand in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers started with a surprising result. In the first minute, Mikhail Titov put the home team ahead 1-0, forcing Thailand to attack.

In the 11th minute, Elias Dolah missed a chance to equalize. It was not until the 35th minute that Thailand found an equalizer from a header by Supachai Chaided. But the joy did not last long, just three minutes later, Yhlas Saparmammedov restored the 2-1 lead for Turkmenistan with an easy shot in the penalty area, ending the first half.
In the second half, Turkmenistan continued to maintain their advantage. In the 67th minute, captain Mekan Saparov increased the score to 3-1 after a chaotic situation from a corner kick. Although both teams made personnel changes, Thailand's adjustments did not bring the desired results.

In the final minutes of the match, Turkmenistan took the initiative to slow down the pace, focusing on solid defense, not giving Thailand any clear opportunities. Despite controlling the game, the Southeast Asian representative was powerless to penetrate the opponent's defense.
With a 3-1 victory, Turkmenistan won 3 valuable points at home, while Thailand fell into a difficult situation in Group D of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
