Thai Nguyen: Special exhibition on President Ton Duc Thang and the development of the province

On August 15, at Tan Cuong Tea Cultural Space, Tan Cuong Commune (Thai Nguyen Province), Thai Nguyen Provincial Museum in collaboration with Ton Duc Thang Museum (Ho Chi Minh City) organized a thematic exhibition with the theme "Uncle Ton - The Day of Return" and "Thai Nguyen - 80 years of construction and development".

This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025); National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); 137th birthday of President Ton Duc Thang (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 2025) and 80th anniversary of the establishment of the revolutionary government of Thai Nguyen province (August 20, 1945 - August 20, 2025).

With more than 200 images, artifacts, documents, the exhibition includes two topics. The topic "Uncle Ton - The Day of Return" introduces the life and career of President Ton Duc Thang with his great contributions to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

The theme “Thai Nguyen - 80 years of construction and development” introduces an overview of the struggle of the army and people of Thai Nguyen to participate in the uprising to overthrow the Japanese fascist puppet government, establish a revolutionary government apparatus; the contributions of the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Nguyen in the resistance war against the French invaders and the resistance war against the US to save the country; some outstanding achievements of the province on the 80-year journey.

According to the Organizing Committee, through the thematic exhibition, the morality of drinking water and remembering its source will be spread; honoring the contributions of President Ton Duc Thang; encouraging generations of Vietnamese people in general and Thai Nguyen in particular, especially the young generation, to promote patriotism, build and protect the Fatherland in the new era.

The thematic exhibition will last until September 15, 2025.
