Accordingly, when he saw his pregnant wife showing signs of labor, he immediately put her in the car to go to the hospital.

However, the Li Auto electric car could not start because the husband accidentally activated the control system upgrade feature that was suggested on the screen. This process lasted for nearly 1 hour.

When the husband called the car company's customer service department to ask how to cancel the update, he was told it was impossible.

Because the driveway to the house was blocked by other cars, neither ambulances nor taxis could get in. The couple had to walk out of the house to catch a taxi to the hospital.

"We have a car but now we have to walk when we are in labor. It's terrible," the wife complained as she endured severe pain.

After arriving at the hospital, the pregnant woman underwent an emergency cesarean section. On December 9, the husband reported that his wife and newborn daughter were both safe and sound.

The incident, after being shared, caused a lot of controversy across Chinese social networking platforms.

"It was clearly the husband's fault for being so worried that he accidentally pressed the button to confirm the upgrade. And now they're blaming the car company," one commenter said.

However, some people also said that the car company's staff saying that the system upgrade cannot be canceled is "extremely unreasonable". Meanwhile, the car company representative said that the incident is still under investigation.
