Visit and give gifts to 282 children in special circumstances

On the morning of May 28, the Department of Health organized a delegation to visit and present gifts to 282 children in special circumstances on the occasion of International Children's Day, June 1, at the An Giang School for Disabled Children. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Ho Thi Hong Phuong; Dr. Nguyen Hong Nam, Head of the Department of Population and Children (Department of Health); and representatives of departments and branches; Principal of the An Giang School for Disabled Children Nguyen Van Can attended.

At the ceremony, 282 gifts were presented to children in special circumstances, each worth 250,000 VND (including: Cakes, candies, milk, personal items...), with a total cost of 70.5 million VND from the provincial budget.

On the same afternoon, the Department of Health visited and gave gifts to 100 children in special circumstances in Chau Phu district.

The Department of Health said that on the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, the Department of Health organized a visit and presented 752 gifts, with a total cost of 188 million VND to 752 children in special circumstances in Long Xuyen City, Chau Doc City; Chau Chau Phu District; Tinh Bien Town; students of the School for Disabled Children of An Giang Province; orphans at the Social Protection Center of An Giang Province; poor children and children in special circumstances in the communities of districts, towns and cities.

Dr. Nguyen Hong Nam shared: “This is a meaningful activity demonstrating the concern of Party committees at all levels, authorities; departments, branches, and organizations in the whole society to take care of children on the occasion of International Children's Day. Thereby, reminding the responsibility of all levels, branches, and the whole society to join hands in caring for the cause of protecting, caring for, andeducating children”.
