In Dong Thap province, lotus is grown mostly in Thap Muoi, Cao Lanh, Tam Nong and Thanh Binh districts. From here, specialized growing areas are formed to provide raw materials for lotus products.
Along the inter-district and inter-commune roads, visitors can easily see brilliant lotus fields swaying in the sun, or a few lotus flowers dotted among the morning glory, making the countryside picture more unique.

From the beginning of April until now, lotus flowers have begun to bloom and then bloom in full bloom in the middle of the month. Along Provincial Road 850, from Tan Hoi Trung Commune, Cao Lanh District to My Dong Commune, Thap Muoi District, lotus fields are blooming brilliantly under the early morning sun, making passersby turn to look.
Occasionally, tourists stop to take pictures with lotus flowers and sit and breathe in the cool, fragrant air as a way to relieve the heat of the sun.

If you have time to spare, visitors can go to My Hoa commune, Thap Muoi district to experience the cool space among lotus fields, sit and drink lotus milk in leaf huts, watch the lotus and wait for delicious food.
From the lotus fields, farmers have opened food services and built bridges across the fields to bring tourists closer to the lotus.

When visiting lotus fields, you must definitely try grilled snakehead fish wrapped in young lotus leaves, lotus root salad, lotus seed rice and enjoy other country dishes.
Currently, these lotus fields are the source of raw materials to make more than 50 OCOP products and 200 dishes that have set Vietnamese records.
