Establishment of Dong Thap Province Economic Zone Management Board

(Chinhphu.vn) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 1548/QD-TTg dated July 17, 2025 to establish the Dong Thap Provincial Economic Zone Management Board on the basis of merging the Tien Giang Industrial Parks Management Board and the Dong Thap Economic Zone Management Board.

Dong Thap Provincial Economic Zone Management Board (Management Board) is an agency under the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, performing the function of direct state management of industrial parks and economic zones (including border economic zones) in Dong Thap province; managing and organizing the implementation of the function of providing public administrative services and other support services related to investment, production and business activities for enterprises in industrial parks and economic zones (including border economic zones) according to the provisions of law.

The Management Board has legal status; has an account and a seal with the national emblem; state administrative management funds, career operation funds and development investment capital are provided by the state budget according to the annual plan and other funding sources according to regulations of competent state agencies.

Management Board's Duties

The Management Board performs duties and powers in accordance with current laws.

The Head of the Management Board shall submit to the People's Committee of Dong Thap province specific regulations on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Management Board in accordance with the provisions of law.

Decision No. 1548/QD-TTg takes effect from July 17, 2025; abolishes Decision No. 1165/QD-TTg dated August 7, 2009 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Dong Thap Economic Zone Management Board, Dong Thap province.
