We met Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chien (born in 1994, Tam Dan commune, Phu Ninh district) in May when the whole country was eagerly celebrating the 135th anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday. Having just been honored to be one of the 6 delegates representing Quang Nam youth to attend the 2025 National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings, and having been recognized by the Central Power Corporation as a typical advanced model EVNCPC in the period 2020-2024, Mr. Chien is preparing to receive the award "Outstanding Electricity Industry Worker" in 2025 organized by the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union.

Some typical initiatives and products of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chien:

- "APP used on the phone to record field surveys, create and approve construction plans for hot electrical repair work, and export minutes in PDF format" (recognized by the Central Power Corporation in 2022 and won the Third Prize of the 10th Quang Nam Provincial Technical Innovation Contest, 2022 - 2023).

- "APP to manage fire prevention and fighting equipment to monitor, inspect, summarize reports and export inspection records in PDF format" (recognized by the Central Power Corporation in 2023).

- “A set of tools to support hooking ropes onto trees to hold trees, serving the work of clearing the line corridor, avoiding trees falling onto the power line, especially acacia auriculiformis” (recognized by Quang Nam Electricity Company in 2024).

- “Included with silicon-coated locking pin for vertical ceramic head” (recognized by Central Power Corporation in 2024).

To achieve such impressive achievements, since 2019, when he officially became a hot grid repair worker (22kV medium voltage grid is energized) of Quang Nam Electricity Company, in addition to his main duties, Mr. Chien has also actively taken on many other tasks such as maintaining and driving insulated vehicles and pickup trucks equipped in the team; monitoring electrical safety technical equipment; synthesizing and monitoring periodic inspections and experiments, advising the team leader on the list of due dates for testing and inspections to make a test report, inspection within the prescribed time limit and updating it to EVNCPC's management program...

“I am young and have the advantage of using modern technology, so I can take on many tasks. Especially with a special profession that is dangerous, hot repairs without cutting off the power, a minute of negligence, subjectivity, loss of control beyond the safety zone can cost my life. In that danger and difficulty, I came up with ideas and initiatives... The related apps and tools that were proposed and recognized are to serve the convenience of work, for the safety of myself and the workers in this electrical field" - Mr. Chien said.

The hotline electrician also said that in the first days of starting the job, he was sometimes afraid. But thanks to the guidance and support of his senior colleagues, and his diligence and research in hotline technology, he overcame his fear and gradually became passionate about this job.

Although he has a lot of experience after more than 8 years in the profession, when starting the electrical repair process, he always adheres to discipline, observes carefully, evaluates carefully, and strictly follows the team's plans.

“Working in the electricity industry, I feel like I have found myself. This is not only a place to support me and my family, but also a place where I nurture my passion, affirm my values ​​and achieve meaningful achievements in life. Therefore, I clearly understand the responsibility of a hot-wire repair worker, as well as a young Vietnamese person of the new era, not only being exemplary in following the correct procedures and regulations at work but also constantly developing myself to meet the requirements of the job and contributing to society.”

Flower of the mountains

Born and raised in the vast Tra My forest, Ho Thi Nhu Thao (born in 2007, Tra Giang commune, Bac Tra My district) was as radiant in her youth as a wild flower. Since childhood, Thao has determined that the path of striving to study and improve life skills through youth union - team - association activities is the journey that helps her overcome her poor hometown.

“We cannot choose where we are born, but we can decide how we live and what future we want to achieve. And today, being recognized as a typical advanced youth of the country in 2025 is a clear proof of my right choice. While many children in the highlands do not have the opportunity to study or are left to their circumstances, I am “taking control” of my life thanks to my efforts to study, develop my strengths, improve my personality through volunteer programs and activities, and support those in more difficult circumstances than me,” Thao said.

Thao is a History major student who excels in both academics and extracurricular activities. Although she is quite busy with her studies, including Olympic and provincial and national competitions, Thao is always active and enthusiastic in participating in competitions and programs organized by the school and the Youth Union at all levels, and has many good ideas. As a member of the school's Youth Union Executive Committee and Secretary of the Youth Union, Thao is also a "famous" cheerleader at Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted. She is loved by many teachers and friends for her diligence and friendly personality, always radiating positive energy.

Behind the podium with creative and effective lessons is a dynamic and enthusiastic Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Que Son High School. Teacher Nguyen Thi Thu (Dong Phu town, Que Son district) in her years of dedication to the Youth Union work has helped Que Son High School's Youth Union win the highest position in the emulation rankings of high schools in Que Son district for 5 consecutive years and was recognized and awarded by the Quang Nam Provincial Youth Union as an excellent school at the provincial level.

Talking about her journey with the Youth Union, Ms. Thu shared with enthusiasm: “Since my student days, I have been passionate about the Youth Union. Constantly creative, during her work, teacher Thu always proposed many good initiatives and experiences in teaching methods.
