According to the Political Report at the 1st Congress of Phu An Ward Party Committee (Ho Chi Minh City), term 2025-2030, at the end of the 2020-2025 term, there were 2,676 service business establishments in the area (an increase of 961 establishments compared to the beginning of the term), the total revenue for the whole term is estimated at 1,835 billion VND (an increase of 1.7 times compared to the beginning of the term).

Goods and services are diverse in types, with stable quality and prices. The campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” has been widely implemented, and people’s awareness of using Vietnamese goods has significantly improved. The cooperative economic sector and the activities of cooperatives and cooperative groups have been consolidated and changed positively.

Phu An Ward has maintained the operation of 3 cooperatives and 9 cooperative groups with a total revenue of 21 billion 165 million VND for the entire term, an average increase of 12.5%/year, the average income of workers reaching 10 million VND/month, contributing to creating jobs for more than 520 local workers. In addition, there are 159 small-scale handicraft production establishments in the area (an increase of 21 establishments compared to the beginning of the term); the establishments are operating stably, with a total value of 1,202 billion VND for the entire term (an increase of 2.5 times compared to the beginning of the term). Implementing the program of one OCOP product per commune, up to now, Phu An Ward has had 7 OCOP products recognized as 3 stars.

The agricultural and environmental sectors have also achieved positive results. More and more people have changed their crop and livestock structures, applying science, technology and high technology in cultivation and livestock breeding.

Programs and movements to improve the quality of new rural construction, greening urban areas and aiming to build a "Green-Friendly City" in the period of 2024-2030 and the following years; "Model New Rural Road of Phu An Commune" have achieved positive results. With the movement "Each person plants 1 tree - Each household contributes 1 green area", cadres and people have planted more than 33,000 trees.

Thanks to the direction to promote production and reduce the area of abandoned agricultural land, the area has increased by more than 50 hectares of garden land for growing fruit trees and annual crops. Phu An Ward has directed and organized the implementation of the "Garbage-free City" model for the period 2023-2025, which has been responded by sectors, organizations, neighborhoods and people; households collect and transport domestic solid waste according to regulations. Up to now, the rate of collected domestic solid waste and the number of households registered to collect domestic solid waste have met the set targets; the rate of people using clean water has reached 100%...

During the 2025-2030 term, Phu An Ward Party Committee will focus on exploiting the potentials of geographical location, land, human resources and social resources to serve urban development planning, economic restructuring, investment in technical-social infrastructure, improving the material and spiritual life of the people; increasing investment attraction associated with environmental protection, ensuring harmonious and sustainable development. Phu An Ward will strive to build a green, civilized, rich, beautiful and humane urban area; striving to have an average income of 120 to 130 million VND/person/year by 2030...

Phu An Ward focuses on shifting the economic structure in the right direction of trade, services, industry and high-tech agriculture; researching and synchronously coordinating the entire political system and all classes of people to protect the quality of water resources of rivers and canals to gradually implement riverside economy, taking advantage of rivers to exploit urban-rural economy associated with eco-tourism; focusing on investing in synchronous infrastructure in a modern direction associated with improving the quality of life of the people...

Comrade Nguyen Hoang Thong, Secretary of the Phu An Ward Party Committee, said: The ward will focus on developing trade and services in a diverse and rich direction; meeting the business and consumption needs of the people; creating conditions for the development of high-quality services; calling for socialized investors to build trade centers, convenience stores and upgrade traditional markets in the area; strengthening inspection, prevention and combat of counterfeit goods, trade fraud, and strictly handling violations in business and prices.

Regarding the industrial and handicraft sectors, Phu An ward continues to encourage and facilitate small-scale industrial production establishments: packaging, carpentry, lacquer, printing, etc. to maintain and develop, improve product quality, production scale and seek export markets, contributing to solving employment for local workers; unblock and mobilize maximum social resources to participate in investment and development according to planning; focus on removing difficulties and obstacles in land procedures, construction, business, etc., creating favorable conditions for early implementation of housing projects; contributing to accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital and investment capital of enterprises, investors, and business households, creating a combined strength to achieve the target of double-digit economic growth.
