At the press conference, Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang informed: Implementing the Party and State's policy on administrative reform, streamlining the apparatus and improving the quality of civil servants, especially at the grassroots level, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong assigned the Department of Home Affairs to conduct research, review and assess the current situation of the communal-level civil servants in the area, including criteria on professional qualifications, capacity to perform public duties and job positions.

The Department of Home Affairs is also assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to advise the City People's Committee on developing a plan to organize training and examinations for commune-level civil servants. This result will be the basis for rearranging and redeploying the team in accordance with the requirements of the task, and at the same time streamlining the payroll according to regulations. The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested to complete the proposal and report before August 8, 2025.

Mr. Giang also said that the two-level local government model in Hue is operating smoothly, clearly demonstrating the efforts of communes and wards in organizing and performing tasks.

Regarding the socio -economic development situation in the first 7 months of 2025, Mr. Phan Quoc Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, said: The city continues to record many bright spots: Tourism has recovered strongly with more than 4 million visitors, up 71% over the same period, bringing in revenue of over 7,500 billion VND. The industrial sector achieved a growth rate of 17.7%, of which automobile production alone increased 10 times.

Goods exports continued to flourish, with turnover reaching 835.6 million USD, up nearly 24%. State budget revenue reached about 8,567 billion VND, up 27.2%. Public investment disbursement reached 67.1%, among the highest in the country. The 2-level local government model operated smoothly, clearly demonstrating the efforts of communes and wards in organizing and performing tasks.

Entering the third quarter, the city set a target of 10.6% GRDP growth for the last 6 months of the year, striving to complete the annual target of 10%. To achieve this, Mr. Son said: Departments and branches will focus on removing difficulties for businesses, enhancing trade promotion, supporting the groundbreaking and inauguration of key projects on the occasion of National Day, September 2. In addition, the tasks of natural disaster prevention and protection of summer-autumn crop production are also focused on to ensure food security and stable production.

A series of projects in the fields of education , health, services and tourism will be accelerated to be put into operation. The city will also prepare well for the new school year, while strengthening investment promotion. On the other hand, the consolidation of the two-level local government model will continue to be implemented, focusing on reviewing the apparatus and organizing professional training courses for grassroots officials.

At the press conference, the press agencies raised many issues of public concern such as: Inadequacies in the installation of speed limit signs in Phu Xuan ward; progress of the Suoi Tien eco-tourism project; the situation of abandoned public assets; progress in handling the deforestation case in Phong Quang ward; problems in the Suoi Voi project in Chan May - Lang Co commune; problems in the Loc Tien resettlement area; consumer confidence in pork after the epidemic; rearranging redundant public offices...
