On the afternoon of April 6, the Thai Binh City Women's Union and benefactors presented funds for the "Godmother" program for the first 6 months of 2023 to 3 orphans in the area.

They are: Vu Thi Phuong Anh, group 9, Tran Hung Dao ward; Nguyen Thi Ha Chinh, group 8, Ky Ba ward; Pham Phuong Anh, group 19, Ky Ba ward. They are all orphans, their parents have unstable jobs, they live with their paternal or maternal grandmothers, their families are poor or near-poor. Each child receives support of 500,000 VND/month.

Vu Thi Phuong Anh, group 9, Tran Hung Dao ward receives support from her sponsor. Nguyen Thi Ha Chinh, group 8, Ky Ba ward received support for the first 6 months of the year from her sponsor.

On this occasion, local authorities, Party committees, and women's unions at all levels presented gifts to the children; the City Women's Union presented a gift (VND 500,000) to an elderly female member with especially difficult circumstances in Ky Ba ward.

Thus, up to now, the whole city has 115 orphans sponsored (of which 10 children are sponsored from 2 places) with a total amount of more than 306 million VND and 940kg of rice. Of which: The City Women's Union sponsored 26 children, the grassroots women's union sponsored 30 children; schools sponsored 45 children, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs sponsored 24 children. The city is the leading unit in the province in implementing the "Godmother" program.
