City Party Committee reviews 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 35 of the 12th Politburo

On the afternoon of June 7, the City Party Committee held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW, dated October 22, 2018 of the 12th Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation". Attending the conference were comrade Ha Ngoc Giap, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Over the past 5 years, the City Steering Committee 35 has promoted its role and responsibility in advising Party committees at all levels to effectively implement Resolution No. 35 in the area, creating positive changes and raising awareness among cadres, party members and people in being vigilant, proactively preventing, fighting and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

Party committees at all levels have done a good job of propagating the celebration of major holidays; promptly informing current events, the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws through the form of integrated groups at conferences, meetings, Party cell meetings and local socio-political organizations to over 10,000 people. Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle have become regular and voluntary activities of many cadres, Party members and people of all walks of life; the work of combating and refuting wrong and hostile viewpoints, preventing, handling and removing bad and toxic information on cyberspace has been strengthened. From 2018 to present, the City has sanctioned nearly 50 cases of law violations in the fields of culture, information and communication, ethnicity and religion with a fine of over 300 million VND; the City Police have detected and handled 31 cases of posting bad, toxic and untrue information on cyberspace.

At the conference, delegates discussed and shared some experiences and good practices in leadership, direction and implementation; the results of propaganda, dissemination and sharing of positive and official information on media and social networks. The work of combating and refuting wrong and hostile viewpoints, preventing, handling, removing and destroying false, toxic information, wrong and hostile viewpoints on the Internet and social networks; the work ofeducating , propagating, disseminating and fostering political theory for cadres, party members, union members and association members ; difficulties, limitations, lessons learned and solutions to improve the effectiveness and quality of implementing Resolution No. 35 of the Politburo in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Ha Ngoc Giap requested Party committees at all levels of the City to continue to thoroughly propagate and implement Resolution No. 35 of the Politburo and directive documents of the Provincial Party Committee and the City Party Committee in conjunction with propagating and implementing well the Politburo's conclusion on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the 12th Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle and Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW dated October 25, 2021 of the 13th Central Executive Committee on promoting Party building and rectification and the political system; resolutely prevent, repel and strictly handle cadres and Party members who have degraded in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation".

Strengthening the effective and efficient management of the information and communication sector, grasping the situation of Internet and social network usage to direct timely implementation. Promoting the leadership role of Party committees at all levels, City Steering Committee 35; doing a good job of managing Party members, civil servants and public employees, especially strictly complying with the regulations on speaking. Focusing on propaganda, political and ideological education for cadres, Party members and people of all walks of life.
