According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnamese student delegation participating in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2025 held in Ohio, USA from May 10 to May 16 includes 11 12th graders.

The Ministry of Education and Training requests that the Departments of Education and Training exempt these students from the 2024-2025 high school graduation exam according to the regulations of the high school graduation exam.

Along with that, universities, academies, colleges and junior colleges will give priority to direct admission to universities and colleges in 2025 according to the regulations of the admission regulations for these 11 candidates.

The list of 11 students exempted from the high school graduation exam and given priority for direct admission to universities and colleges in 2025 due to their participation in ISEF is as follows:

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training also announced the list of 133 12th graders participating in national teams competing in international and regional Olympic competitions in 2025 who are exempted from the high school graduation exam. Thus, up to now, there are a total of 144 students exempted from the high school graduation exam, with priority for direct admission in 2025.

In 2025, the Vietnamese student delegation made history at the 2025 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) by achieving the highest achievement ever, with 2 second prizes, 1 third prize, 3 fourth prizes and 5 special prizes from sponsors. This year's competition gathered nearly 1,700 high school students from more than 60 countries, territories and 48 states of the United States, with more than 1,000 projects in 22 fields. The Vietnamese delegation participated with 9 projects in 6 fields, competing for a total of about 25% of the total number of projects participating in the competition.
