(CPV) - The Ministry of Health 's COVID-19 prevention and control bulletin on January 12th reported 88 new COVID-19 cases, more than double the number from yesterday. 78 patients recovered during the day.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has recorded 11,526,034 cases, ranking 13th out of 230 countries and territories. In terms of the number of cases per million people, Vietnam ranks 117th out of 230 countries and territories (an average of 116,479 cases per million people).
The number of patients declared recovered today was 78, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 10,611,650.
The number of patients currently receiving oxygen is 7.
No deaths were reported on January 11th.
The total number of COVID-19 deaths in Vietnam to date is 43,186, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections; ranking 26th out of 230 territories, and the number of deaths per million people ranks 139th out of 230 countries and territories worldwide . Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths ranks 7th out of 49 (3rd in ASEAN), and the number of deaths per million people ranks 21st out of 49 Asian countries and territories (3rd in ASEAN).
On January 11th, 32,633 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered. Thus, the total number of doses administered is 265,635,648. Of these: 223,300,118 doses were given to individuals aged 18 and over, including: 71,081,271 doses of the first dose; 68,692,898 doses of the second dose; 14,499,043 doses of the booster dose; 51,702,585 doses of the first booster dose; and 17,324,321 doses of the second booster dose. 23,872,185 doses were given to children aged 12-17, including: 9,127,233 doses of the first dose; and 8,956,991 doses of the second dose. The first booster dose was administered at a rate of 5,787,961 doses. The total number of doses for children aged 5-11 years is 18,463,345, comprising: 10,245,553 doses of the first dose and 8,217,792 doses of the second dose.
