Another top Vietnamese tennis player moves to pickleball: Wants to beat all opponents

It is no longer rare for top Vietnamese tennis players to take a break or switch to pickleball. Recently, the next two names officially came to pickleball: Nguyen Dac Tien and Pham Minh Tuan. The information was announced at the signing ceremony of the representative player of Pickleball Soxter Impact Pro 2.0 Nguyen Dac Tien and the launch of Soxter Team on April 28, 2025 in Hanoi .

Speaking at the event, the number 1 male tennis player in the North said that he and many other teammates of the national tennis team "invaded" pickleball as a matter of course, as this sport is developing extremely strongly in Vietnam.

" Because I am a latecomer, I will definitely need to practice and compete a lot to quickly catch up and surpass my opponents. I believe that with the available foundations, I will soon be able to do that," said Dac Tien.

However, when it comes to tennis, Dac Tien still affirms that, although he focuses more on pickleball, if given the opportunity to contribute to the national tennis team in upcoming tournaments, he is always ready to participate.

In the talk show, when asked about the fundamental difference between tennis and pickleball, Dac Tien said that the primary issue lies in physical strength. While tennis requires a strong physical foundation, with pickleball, dexterity and precision will be the factors that make the difference.

Answering the question of who he wants to be teammates with the most and who he wants to defeat the most in this new sport, Dac Tien affirmed his determination to challenge and compete with all opponents. And the teammate he wants to accompany to bring glory is his "older brother" in the national tennis team: Pham Minh Tuan.

Also within the framework of the program, Soxter officially launched Soxter Team - a lineup that brings together prominent faces of the Vietnamese pickleball community.
