Emulation to celebrate 80 years of Son La Armed Forces Traditional Day

On the afternoon of June 9, the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command of Son La province launched the emulation campaign "80 days of exemplary action". This is an emulation campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Son La Provincial Armed Forces (August 26, 1945 - August 26, 2025).

With the theme "Solidarity, coordination, determination to make achievements, embellishing traditions, determination to win three first prizes", the Party Committee and Command of the Border Guard of Son La province determined that this is a special emulation campaign.

With specific targets and tasks set out, the emulation campaign will be an opportunity to review the heroic tradition of the armed forces of Son La province. Thereby, promptly encouraging officers and soldiers of agencies and units to promote high spirit, be positive, proactive, creative, overcome all difficulties, and strive to excellently complete assigned tasks.

Representatives of the units signed the competition agreement.

Speaking at the emulation launch, Colonel Pham Tung Lam, Party Secretary, Political Commissar, Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the Son La Provincial Border Guard, requested units to fulfill the following targets and contents: Determined to carry out key political tasks with the highest results; highest combat readiness and strictest discipline.

Colonel Pham Tung Lam suggested that units enhance the highest sense of responsibility in organizing welcoming activities; carry out the peak month of attacking and suppressing drug crimes on the border lines and respond to the "Month of action to prevent and combat drugs" in 2025.

This is also an opportunity for Party committees and commanders of agencies and units to thoroughly grasp and regularly promoteeducation to build a sense of responsibility and self-awareness for cadres and soldiers to successfully implement the proposed emulation contents and targets.

This peak emulation period also helps Party committees, commanders of agencies, units and emulation and reward councils at all levels to regularly monitor, inspect, guide, encourage and help the grassroots overcome limitations in leadership, direction and organization of the emulation period.

Colonel Nguyen Dinh Huan, Commander of the Son La Provincial Border Guard Command, awarded Certificates of Merit from the Son La Provincial People's Committee and the Border Guard Command to collectives and individuals.

This is an opportunity to promptly commend collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, good people, good deeds, and advanced models in the emulation movement, to encourage and motivate cadres and soldiers to strive to fulfill their assigned duties and tasks.

Also at the launching ceremony, the Son La Provincial Border Guard Command awarded Certificates of Merit from the National Steering Committee 389, the Son La Provincial People's Committee and the Border Guard Command to 5 collectives and 4 individuals who had outstanding achievements in managing and protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the first 6 months of 2025.
