The contest aims to affirm the stature, historical significance and brilliant milestones of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam); the reasons for victory and lessons learned; the creative application of the lessons of the August Revolution in the struggle for national liberation and national reunification as well as in the cause of national construction, development and defense.
In addition, it promotes the achievements in building a socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam of the people, by the people, for the people; highlights the great victories and achievements of the country over the past eight decades, especially after nearly 40 years of implementing the national renewal policy initiated and led by the Party, and at the same time highlights the great contributions and contributions of the entire Party, people and army in the struggle for national liberation and reunification as well as in the cause of building, developing and defending the Fatherland.
Thereby encouraging, motivating, inspiring, and arousing pride in cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life to strive and make efforts to overcome difficulties, successfully complete political goals and tasks, compete to achieve achievements to celebrate major national holidays, and be determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The contest is open to all professional and non-professional artists, Vietnamese citizens and overseas Vietnamese. The deadline for submissions is July 2025. The closing ceremony and award ceremony are scheduled to take place in August 2025.
The Organizing Committee will consider and award prizes to outstanding works, including: 01 First Prize, 02 Second Prizes, 03 Third Prizes, 10 Encouragement Prizes and 01 Movement Prize for the unit that mobilizes many authors and works of good quality to participate in the contest. Along with that, organize an exhibition of large-scale propaganda paintings and publish propaganda documents to send to the grassroots to serve propaganda work./.
