This morning (June 16), the Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Council announced the results of the second round of the 2025 competency assessment exam. However, as of 11:00 a.m., many candidates were still unable to log in to their accounts on the system http://thinangluc.vnuhcm.edu.vn to view the exam results.

On the official fanpage of Ho Chi Minh City National University, many students and parents simultaneously left feedback about the process of logging in to check exam scores:

"The website is down, how can I know my exam scores?"; "The website is so laggy, I've logged out and logged in many times but still can't see my scores"; "The website is so bad, I can't access it"; Ho Chi Minh City National University is requested to send scores to candidates via email. I can't check scores on the website"...

Meanwhile, some candidates said they had seen the results of the second round of competency assessment exams.

According to Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment of Ho Chi Minh City National University, as soon as the second round of exam scores were announced, many people logged into the system to look them up, not only candidates but also parents.

Specifically, at 10am this morning, nearly 90,000 simultaneous accesses occurred, causing the system to become unstable. Therefore, candidates and parents need to stay calm, today everyone will definitely be able to view their scores normally.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Council announced the results of the second round of the 2025 exam. This round had a total of 92,246 candidates taking the exam at 34 exam clusters and 80 exam locations located in 11 provinces and cities from the Central to the Southwest regions. In total, both rounds had 152,792 candidates taking the exam, equivalent to 223,179 exam entries.

The candidate with the best result in the second round scored 1,122/1,200 points, 62 points higher than the valedictorian in the first round. The average score in the second round was 718.7 points, 100 points higher than the first round. The lowest score was 81 points.

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh said that the score distribution of the second round is close to the normal distribution, the score range is wide, and tends to skew right (higher) compared to the first round.

Mr. Chinh explained that out of the total of more than 92,000 candidates, about 65,000 had experience in taking the test and had a better test-taking mentality because they had participated in the first round. This was a group of candidates with good or better ability, and their first round test scores were higher than the average. Candidates had more time to review and consolidate their knowledge, so their results improved.

This person commented that the scale of the exam has been increasing since 2021. In 2025 alone, the number of candidates increased by nearly one and a half times compared to previous years. However, the exam results are still stable when the average score is around 640-665, the median score is from 629-654.

After the second round of the candidate's competency assessment test scores are announced, the electronic test result certificate will be sent from June 23. If the candidate takes both rounds of the test, he/she can choose the higher result to apply for university admission.

Currently, more than 110 highereducation institutions have registered to use the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam for admission in 2025.
