Thieu Hoa: Mobilizing more than 13 billion VND to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions, after 2 years of implementing the Campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province (2024-2025), up to now, Thieu Hoa district has supported the construction of 104 new spacious and sturdy houses, contributing to stabilizing the lives of families with housing difficulties.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang attended the groundbreaking ceremony and presented money to support housing construction for households with housing difficulties in Thieu Phuc commune.

Mrs. Tran Thi Tung is a poor single parent in Su Nhan 3 village, Thieu Duy commune. Her husband died early, she worked hard to raise her children alone; now she is old, no longer able to work, so she has no income. Meanwhile, her son is in poor health, has an irregular job, and her two young grandchildren are often sick. Her family lives in a small, dilapidated house, built temporarily 30 years ago. On days of heavy rain and strong winds, the house is at risk of collapsing at any time, she has to take refuge with relatives and neighbors. Her dream of having a sturdy house has come true.

Mr. Le Van Dap's family in Su Nhan 1 village, Thieu Duy commune is one of the poor households with difficult circumstances in the commune. Mr. Dap's wife died early due to a work accident; and he, due to poor health, mostly worked around the village, earning a living to support himself and his elderly mother. Life was difficult, worrying about every meal, when he was sick, his family relied on the support of the locality and neighbors. In early 2025, thanks to funding from the campaign to support the construction of houses for poor households, policy households, households with housing difficulties and the joint efforts of the locality, Mr. Dap was able to build a new, spacious house to replace the old, dilapidated house before. Mr. Dap, as well as 7 other households with housing difficulties in Thieu Duy commune, were very touched and excited to receive the attention and support of the authorities at all levels.

With many synchronous solutions from propaganda, mobilizing social resources to mobilizing people's contributions, from the end of 2024 to April 11, 2025, the whole district has mobilized more than 13 billion VND to support the construction of houses for disadvantaged households. Thieu Hoa district is striving to complete the construction of these projects before June 30, 2025.
