Children read together and introduce books at the Nguyen Sinh Sac Historical Site.

From December 14-16, at the Nguyen Sinh Sac Historical Site, the Dong Thap Provincial Library organized a book exhibition and artistic book arrangement; reading activities; a book presentation competition titled "Remembering the Gratitude to Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac"; and hands-on activities using books and fun STEM science with the theme "Library - A Journey Connecting Green Tourism".

At the exhibition space showcasing historical documents and organizing reading activities themed "Remembering the Gratitude to Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac," young readers enthusiastically participated in learning about historical documents, reading books about "The Life and Career of Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac," and assembling book cover puzzles.

In addition, children can visit, take photos, participate in interactive chess experiences, and enjoy many other fun activities at the exhibition space.

Children will learn about historical documents such as "Mementos of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac preserved by President Ho Chi Minh" and participate in experiential activities like "The beauty of the checkered scarf in labor"; they will also read books to learn about the ancient Hoa An village at the Nguyen Sinh Sac historical site and receive practical guidance from the book "The Picture of Hoa An Village".

In particular, the Book Introduction Contest with the theme "Remembering the Gratitude to Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac" attracted 45 teams from junior high schools in Dong Thap province to introduce works about Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac, about President Ho Chi Minh , his hometown of Nghe An or Hoa An village, Cao Lan (formerly), where Mr. Sac lived and worked in his final years; and to introduce works about the homeland, country, and people of Dong Thap.

According to the Organizing Committee, the participating teams presented book introductions that were relevant to the theme, with diverse, lively, and creative formats that were appropriate to the content. Many presenters demonstrated good presentation and book introduction skills, delivering impressive and engaging presentations that captivated the audience.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Xuan Dieu Junior High School, My Tho Ward, two second prizes, four third prizes, and eight consolation prizes to the teams with outstanding performances.

The event took place on the occasion of the province's ceremony to receive the Certificate of Ranking as a Special National Monument for the Tomb of Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac; the inauguration of the project "Restoration, Preservation and Promotion of the Value of the Nguyen Sinh Sac Historical Site" and the 96th anniversary of the death of Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac.

These activities contribute to promoting and educating about historical and cultural traditions, the moral principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," while also spreading a reading culture in the community, arousing pride and awareness of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values ​​of Dong Thap province.
