According to the Vietnamese Embassy in China, speaking to children from Beijing, Shanghai, Hebei, Shandong, Guangdong, and Guangxi, who are also "young reporters" who are being trained and interned in foreign journalism during the summer, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh introduced Vietnam as a friendly, dynamically developing country, a safe and attractive destination, and an active and proactive member in the international arena.
Regarding the Vietnam-China relationship, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh emphasized that the traditional friendship of “both comrades and brothers” personally built by President Ho Chi Minh and Chairman Mao Zedong is a valuable common asset that future generations need to continue to nurture and develop to new heights. This year, when the two countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China Year of Humanitarian Exchange, in addition to major political events, mutual visits and bilateral contacts at high and all levels, exchanges like today's program are very meaningful, continuing to contribute positively to fostering the friendship between the two countries.

Within the framework of the program, the Chinese “young reporters” asked Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh a variety of lively questions such as directions for the young generations of the two countries to inherit the precious friendship, contribute their intelligence and strength to the healthy development of Vietnam-China relations, similarities between culture, literature and art between the two countries, ways for children of the two sides to make friends, learn from each other and attractive tourist destinations in Vietnam that children and their families wish to visit…
Sharing with the children, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh emphasized that the leaders of the two countries have high expectations for the young generations of the two countries. General Secretary To Lam stated that one of the most important and fundamental directions of cooperation in the Vietnam-China relationship is to “consolidate a more solid social foundation” in which the young generations of the two countries are the core force.
General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping also emphasized that “the roots of China-Vietnam friendship lie in the people and the future lies in the young generation”. The Ambassador affirmed that the young generation of Vietnam and China are the young messengers, “witnesses of friendship”, who will continue the journey of their fathers and grandfathers; encourage children of the two countries to study hard, practice good virtues, learn about the similarities and characteristics in the culture and language of their country and the other country to get to know each other, understand each other, respect each other, trust each other and be close to each other. Only then, in the future, whether they become journalists, diplomats or any other profession, children of the two countries can contribute their intelligence and strength, become bridges of friendship and cooperation, and continue to tell good stories about the Vietnam-China friendship.

Encouraging children from both countries to participate in exchange programs, friendship summer camps, friendship letters, and cultural and artistic exchanges, the Vietnamese Embassy in China is ready to support and connect schools and youth organizations of both countries to carry out these exchange and cooperation activities.
Representing the delegation, Ms. Vi Yen, Director of the China-Foreign News Agency, expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome of the Ambassador, the Embassy staff and the Vietnamese children; considering this a source of encouragement to continue organizing more meaningful exchange activities, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and friendship between the youth, children and people of the two countries.
On this occasion, Vietnamese and Chinese children exchanged and shared their deepest impressions about Vietnam and China.
