Starting from 7:50 p.m. today, June 26, Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir (Que Phong) is expected to operate to discharge water with a total discharge flow from 11.16m³/s to 250m³/s.

On the afternoon of June 26, the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province issued urgent Notice No. 86/TB-VPTT on the operation of water discharge from Ban Coc hydropower reservoir.

The notice stated: At 3:47 p.m. on June 26, the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province received notice No. 03 from Que Phong Hydropower Joint Stock Company regarding the operation of water discharge from Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the Operation Procedure approved by the Provincial People's Committee and in accordance with the hydrological situation at the project. Que Phong Hydropower Joint Stock Company announces the expected plan for water discharge from Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir as follows:

Estimated time of regulation operation: Starting from 19:50 on June 26, 2025.

Expected discharge flow: Total discharge flow from 11.16m³/s to 250m³/s (including discharge flow through the valve gate, flow through the spillway and power generation flow through the generators) and may change depending on the water flow to the lake.

Discharge end time: When the lake water level is not greater than the MNDBT at elevation 376m and cannot rise again.
