Agree to organize the 27th Session (special session) of the 16th City People's Council on June 25, 2025

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of June 20, comrade Pham Van Lap, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council chaired a joint conference of the Standing Committee of the City People's Council on the organization of the 27th Session (special session) of the 16th City People's Council.

Attending the conference were comrades: Le Anh Quan, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council and representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

According to the report of the City People's Committee Office, at the 27th Session, the City People's Committee plans to submit to the City People's Council 3 contents, including: Adjusting the City's Medium-Term Public Investment Plan for the period 2021-2025; Adjusting the City's Public Investment Plan for 2025 and Proposing investment policy for the Investment Project to build the road connecting National Highway 5 with National Highway 10, avoiding Vinh Bao town (Vinh Bao district).

After listening to reports from departments, agencies and sectors on the progress of preparing the content for the 27th Session, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap agreed with the proposal of the City People's Committee to hold a thematic session on the afternoon of June 25. The Chairman of the City People's Council emphasized the urgency of the session to promptly adjust to the actual revenue and expenditure of the budget, promote the disbursement of public investment capital and ensure no interruption of socio -economic development tasks in the context of reorganizing the apparatus according to the 2-level local government model.

On that basis, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council requested the Party Committee of the City People's Committee to report in writing to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to seek opinions on the contents expected to be submitted to the meeting. At the same time, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the City People's Council was assigned to advise the Party Committee of the City People's Council to report to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the organization of the thematic meeting.

The Chairman of the City People's Council requested the People's Council Committees to closely coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and branches to promptly complete the dossier and draft resolution, ensuring quality. After receiving opinions from the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the City People's Council Committees will arrange time to review and report to the Standing Committee of the City People's Council, even on holidays, to ensure the progress of serving the session./.
