Approval of the master plan for the new urban area of ​​Thuy Nguyen until 2045

On the afternoon of April 15, the Hai Phong City People's Council held the 15th session (special session) of the 16th term, 2021 - 2026. At the session, the City People's Council voted and unanimously passed 7 important Resolutions, including: Approving the policy of issuing local government bonds in 2024 in Hai Phong City; Supplementing and adjusting the list of investment projects requiring land recovery and the expected state budget capital level for compensation and site clearance in the area in 2024; Supplementing the list of projects and works to change the purpose of using rice-growing land, protective forest land, and special-use forests in the area in 2024...

One of the most anticipated contents that the people have been approved by the Hai Phong City People's Council is the Master Plan for the new urban area of ​​Thuy Nguyen until 2045. The plan aims to concretize the strategies and development orientations of Hai Phong City; effectively promote historical, landscape, environmental and cultural values, ensure national defense and security; build and develop Thuy Nguyen urban area into a civilized and modern urban area, towards an international city and a smart ecological city.

According to Decision No. 1388/QD-TTg dated November 16, 2023 of the Prime Minister approving the Master Plan for the new urban area of ​​Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong City until 2045, the new urban area of ​​Thuy Nguyen will be a type III urban area by 2025, aiming to become a type II urban area by 2035 with the model of a city under Hai Phong City.
