On August 7, the Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) announced the nationwide recall and destruction of the product White Pink Sunscreen Whitening Cream - Moisturizer (Box of 250g) , the label shows the information: Batch number: DW010525, Manufacturing date: May 9, 2025; Expiry date: 36 months from the date of manufacture, Khang Hung Thinh Trading and Service Co., Ltd. (address: 568 Nguyen Trai, HCMC).
The reason for the recall was that the product was of poor quality and unknown origin.
Previously, the authorities took samples at Thanh Van shop (No. 695, Dien Bien Phu, Tra Vinh ward, Vinh Long province) to check the quality. The results showed that the product formula stated on the label did not contain Methylparaben and Propylparaben, but when testing the product sample, it contained these ingredients.
In particular, verifying information on the National Business Registration Portal, at the address 568 Nguyen Trai (HCMC), Khang Hung Thinh Trading and Service Co., Ltd. does not exist.
Also at Thanh Van shop, the authorities took an additional sample of the product Alpha 3 Plus + Arbutin Collagen Lotion (Box of 250g) , the label stated: Made in Thailand, Manufacturing date: May 10, 2023; Expiry date: May 10, 2026, without a production batch number and information about the facility responsible for bringing the product to market.
The tested sample did not meet the quality standards for appearance inspection and did not meet the labeling regulations. Furthermore, the data search results showed that the Cosmetic Product Declaration Receipt Number had not been issued for the product named Alpha 3 Plus + Arbutin Collagen Lotion.
This is the reason why the Drug Administration of Vietnam requested the nationwide recall and destruction of this product and recommended that people not trade or use the above Alpha 3 Plus + Arbutin Collagen Lotion (Box of 250g).
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requested the Department of Health of Vinh Long province and the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City to urgently coordinate to inspect Thanh Van shop and Khang Hung Thinh Trading and Service Company Limited in complying with the provisions of law on cosmetics business.
At the same time, trace the origin of the product White Pink Sunscreen Whitening Cream - Moisturizer (Box of 250g) and the product Alpha 3 Plus + Arbutin Collagen Lotion (Box of 250g), handle violations according to regulations.
