From October 14 to 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism organized the Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Program in Singapore 2025, on the occasion of ITB Asia 2025, the largest tourism fair in the Asia - Pacific region.
The city introduced typical tourism products after expanding its administrative boundaries, including MICE tourism, luxury beach resorts, culinary tourism, historical and cultural tourism, etc., along with an Ao Dai performance by artist and designer Trung Dinh, helping international audiences feel the beauty of Vietnamese culture in a modern fair space.
On October 17, the delegation will work with Singaporean tourism partners to develop products, connect inter-regional tours and invite high-quality buyers to attend ITE HCMC 2026.
Leading enterprises and Vietnam Airlines participated in the Ho Chi Minh City booth at ITB Asia, introducing destinations and connecting with international partners. This is an important platform for Ho Chi Minh City to expand its customer network, increase its international promotion capacity and strengthen its image as "the leading dynamic destination in Southeast Asia".

Targeting high-spending Singaporean customers
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, Singapore is a traditional market with high spending power and a love for high-end experiences. Singaporean tourists often look for quality services, short-term stays, shopping and typical cuisine.
Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City is developing suitable product packages from street food to Michelin-standard restaurants, from cultural experiences at the Ao Dai Museum to healing tourism combined with shopping. The event is also linked with the Vietnam Pho Festival 2025 (October 18-19 in Singapore), bringing the image of the national dish to become a tourism bridge between the two countries.

Singaporean visitors often look for quality service, short stays, shopping and signature cuisine.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Phuoc Anh affirmed: "ITB Asia is a prestigious global fair, an opportunity to promote Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City tourism to high-spending markets. The friendly relationship between the two countries is an important foundation for developing bilateral tourist flows."
According to the plan, Ho Chi Minh City tourism will continue to expand promotional activities in key Asian markets such as Japan, Korea, Malaysia, while promoting sustainable, green tourism products and local experiences - aiming to make culture and tourism one of the five economic pillars in the 2026 - 2030 period.
In the first 9 months of 2025, Ho Chi Minh City welcomed more than 5.8 million international visitors and about more than 29 million domestic visitors, with tourism revenue estimated at VND184,629 billion. The city is moving towards the 2025 target of 10 million international visitors and 50 million domestic visitors.
