U.23 Vietnam has another "powerful blue army"
On the afternoon of October 14, the Vietnam U.23 team returned home after a training trip in the UAE, where our players had two quality friendly matches with Qatar U.23.
It is expected that in November, the U.23 Vietnam team will gather again with 2 different stages. In the first half, coach Dinh Hong Vinh will continue to take temporary charge while coach Kim Sang-sik and the Vietnam team will visit Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
At that time, coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team will participate in an international friendly tournament in China. In addition to the host team, there will also be two very strong teams: U.23 Korea and U.23 Uzbekistan.
These are extremely high-quality "blue troops" for U.23 Vietnam. U.23 Uzbekistan and U.23 Korea are even considered the top candidates for the 2026 AFC U.23 Championship, having won the championship in 2018 and 2020.

Remember last March, Coach Dinh Hong Vinh also led U.23 Vietnam to compete in CFA China Team 2025. Despite the absence of many key players who were focusing on the Vietnamese team, U.23 Vietnam had 3 draws against Uzbekistan, South Korea and almost won against U.23 China.
After returning home, U.23 Vietnam will have 4 days off before regrouping and being personally trained by coach Kim Sang-sik to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games which will take place in December in Thailand.
The goal of U.23 Vietnam is very clear, aiming for the 3rd gold medal in the history of men's football at the SEA Games, following the 2 previous gold medals achieved under coach Park Hang-seo in 2019 and 2022.
After that, U.23 Vietnam will stabilize the squad before flying to Saudi Arabia to start the journey to conquer the 2026 AFC U.23 Championship. At the tournament, we will be in Group A with the host team Saudi Arabia, Jordan and newcomer Kyrgyzstan.
