This food festival is the first "Southern Cuisine and Traditional Cake Week" event held at the century-old Binh Tay market in Cho Lon area, Binh Tay ward, Ho Chi Minh City (old District 6) from December 4 to 10 with many unique culinary experiences for Ho Chi Minh City residents and domestic and foreign tourists.

On the evening of Saturday, December 6, crowds of Ho Chi Minh City residents and tourists flocked to the event "Southern Cuisine and Traditional Cake Week" held for the first time at the century-old Binh Tay market.

The traditional cake stalls were "seas of people" surrounding them, the sellers were "out of breath" to serve the customers jostling to wait their turn to buy. "It's so crowded, I can't breathe! There are many traditional cakes from the West here that remind me of my childhood memories", Mr. Hai (36 years old) shared, bringing his young child to Binh Tay market tonight.

Diners were excited to experience the cuisine at a special event at Binh Tay market. The event introduced 40 stalls of cuisine and traditional cakes typical of the Southern region.

Traditional cake stalls always attract the attention of many diners. "Not only cakes, the festival also sells many other dishes. But there are many types of cakes here that I haven't eaten for a long time, so I bought one of each to eat, remembering the taste of my childhood," a diner shared.

The event is part of the local orientation to exploit the cultural and historical values of Binh Tay market, while creating more unique tourism products to attract people and tourists.

As the evening wore on, the number of people flocking to Binh Tay market became more and more crowded, people jostled each other at the event.
