Vietnamese cuisine is rich in a variety of unique beef dishes. Beef can be prepared in many ways such as stir-fried, grilled, stewed, pan-fried or hot pot, each way brings a culinary experience with its own distinct flavors.
Among dozens of beef dishes, the famous culinary website Taste Atlas has selected 4 beef dishes that diners will never forget to put in the top of the best beef dishes in the world. These dishes include beef stew, beef dipped in vinegar, beef laksa and beef ne.
Crazy about Vietnamese beef stew and beefsteak
Bo Kho is ranked 36th, the highest-ranked Vietnamese beef dish on the list. It received 4.2 stars and rave reviews from food critics.
Bo kho is a famous beef stew that can be eaten alone or with a crusty bread roll. It is also often served over rice noodles or vermicelli, and is served with a plate of fresh herbs.
Beef stew ingredients include cubed beef, carrots, lemongrass, cinnamon, chili, pepper, garlic and shallots, all simmered softly in a spicy, aromatic, flavorful broth.

According to Taste Atlas , the origin of beef remains a mystery: "Many believe the dish is influenced by both Eastern and Western cuisines.
In rural areas, beef stew is often cooked spicier than the urban version.
This traditional dish is often eaten for breakfast, and when served, it is sprinkled with green onions, cilantro and onions to enhance the aroma and natural sweetness.

Although the name "beef" suggests that the dish only uses beef, but beef dipped in vinegar is sometimes varied with seafood such as squid or shrimp. In addition, the dish cannot lack rice paper for wrapping, along with typical dipping sauces such as mixed dipping sauce and rich fish sauce.

Taste Atlas says this is a popular dish in Nha Trang, using beef parts such as sirloin, marinated with spices and served on a sizzling cast iron pan with fried eggs, onions, chili sauce and a piece of fatty, fragrant pate.
Beefsteak is usually served with spices and a crispy baguette, along with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and cucumbers. When enjoying, people often dip the meat in a mixture of salt, pepper and lemon, and the bread is used to soak up the remaining pate and egg yolks in the pan.
