At the meeting, Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet affirmed that amnesty is a lenient and humane policy of the Party and State, demonstrating the fine tradition of humanity of the Vietnamese people and receiving attention and high appreciation from public opinion at home and abroad. The amnesty in 2025 is even more important when it is implemented on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

The Board of Directors of Phu Son 4 Prison reported to Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet and members of the working group on the implementation of the 2025 amnesty work of the unit, including the dissemination and propaganda of Decision No. 266/2025/QD-CTN dated March 3, 2025 of the President on amnesty in 2025 and the Guidance of the Amnesty Advisory Council to prisoners, the work of preparing and reviewing records to propose to the Amnesty Advisory Council cases eligible for amnesty.

The Board of Directors and officers of Phu Son 4 Prison have made efforts and creatively applied good initiatives and experiences to complete the processing of a large number of files in a short time, meeting requirements and completing assigned tasks.

Phu Son 4 Prison has proactively carried out propaganda and dissemination to all prisoners, including ethnic minority prisoners who are not fluent in Mandarin, to ensure that everyone knows and understands this humane policy of the Party and State and to ensure that no cases eligible for special pardon are left out.

Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet highly appreciated the initiative and efforts of the Phu Son 4 Prison Management Board in effectively implementing the 2025 amnesty work in accordance with regulations, ensuring the legitimate rights of detainees.

The Deputy Minister requested Phu Son 4 Prison to continue to closely and synchronously coordinate with the Standing Office of the Advisory Council for Special Amnesty, relevant ministries, branches, and local units in continuing to implement special amnesty work in the coming time, especially after the President approved the signing of the 2025 special amnesty decision, contributing to the emulation atmosphere to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.
