"Over the past time, together with experts, scientists and the business community across the country, our forum has demonstrated its pioneering role. Dan Tri Newspaper has organized discussion sessions in a systematic and methodical manner, and as a leading newspaper, has strongly spread in the business community as well as policy-making agencies," said Ms. Ha.
Regarding ESG content, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha said that the choice of this year's theme - "Science, technology and sustainable development drivers" - demonstrates strategic vision, while keeping up with global transformation trends and being consistent with the country's development orientation.
The topic is also closely linked to current issues in economic, political , security, defense and social life.
"Currently, ESG is no longer a trend or a choice, but has become a development standard and a vital requirement for businesses and organizations. Thus, ESG is meaningful to both sectors: businesses and state management agencies," said Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha.

According to the leader of the Ministry of Home Affairs, for managers, implementing ESG criteria today does not stop at documents, reports or statements, but must be transformed into specific actions, based on operational data, technology and real impacts.
Therefore, the workshop's theme "From awareness to action" emphasized that data is not only an input for ESG governance, but also a foundation for forming objectivity, transparency and new standards in governance.
Science and technology are becoming an important tool to help businesses and management agencies monitor, evaluate, adjust and implement policies more effectively, having a practical impact on people's lives.
From the perspective of State management, the Ministry of Home Affairs is well aware that promoting sustainable development cannot be separated from administrative reform, modernizing the civil service and improving the quality of cadres, civil servants and public employees. ESG, in the end, is not only a standard for enterprises but also a measure of national governance capacity, operational capacity and social responsibility of the public apparatus.
In that context, science and technology become the key to building a service-oriented, transparent, honest, people- and business-centered administration, while promoting new governance models based on data and sustainable standards.
“I believe that in today’s program, experts, businesses and management agencies will share experiences, good models and specific solutions to clarify the role of science and technology in ESG implementation in Vietnam. At the same time, propose appropriate mechanisms and policies to support businesses in effective implementation, connecting technology and action, contributing to building a sustainable development ecosystem with Vietnamese identity,” said Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha.
